MEDLINE
MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) bibliographic database. It contains more than 31 million references to journals in the life sciences with a concentration in biomedicine. MEDLINE records are indexed with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). MEDLINE contains records from 1966 to present as well as selective coverage prior to 1966.
SMHHS Medical Library provides multiple access points and interfaces to search MEDLINE.

Evidence Based CareSheets
Evidenced Based CareSheets (EBCS) are summaries on key topics focused on nursing practice. Each caresheet incorporates evidence, statistics, research, and references on the given topic. The references are ranked according to the type of literature they represent (systemic reviews, meta-analysis, etc.). You can find the EBCS on the top menu of the CINAHL interface.
CINAHL Subject Headings
CINAHL subject headings are based on the MeSH headings, with additional nursing and allied health headings added. The headings are updated annually and revised when needed. New MeSH terms are added when available.
Quick Lessons
Quick Lessons (QL) are clinically organized nursing overviews, with information mapped to the nursing workflow (description/etiology, signs and symptoms, assessment, treatment goals, red flags, what to tell the patient/patients family).

Searching JBI:
To begin you search on the JBI entry page, start typing your search terms into the bar. Ovid suggests using starting your search with the basic search setting. Search terms will be highlighted yellow and related terms will be highlighted in teal on your results page.
